Week 7 Recap SNF and MNF

Packers 28, Vikings 24
Packers: Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to victory with 295 yards and 2 TDs along with 2 INTs. Greg Jennings again had a good game catching 6 balls for 74 yards and 1 TD. Donald Driver was slowed by a thigh injury and was held without a catch for the first time in 133 games. James Jones though stepped up and caught 4 passes for 107 yards. If either Jennings or Driver were to miss time because of injury Jones would make a great pickup in all leagues. Brandon Jackson scored a TD and had 13 carries for 58 yards and 46 yards on 3 receptions. If Jackson can put up numbers like this on a weekly basis he would be a solid RB2 but he doesn't so he is no more than a RB3/Flex.

Vikings: Brett Favre threw 3 INTs and had 212 yards passing and 1 TD. Favre was shown limping badly after a tackle but finished the game out. It was reported on Monday that Favre suffered two factures in his ankle and could miss this weeks game. More than likely Favre may try to tough it out but for fantasy purposes he should not be started in leagues and can be dropped  for better options in leagues. Adrian Peterson ran well again gaining 131 yards on 28 carries and 1 TD. Adrian also had 41 yards on 2 receptions. Adrian continues to be the most consistent of the top backs drafted this fall in fantasy leagues. Percy Harvin has played great since the addition of Moss. This week Harvin rushed 3 times for 41 yards and a TD. He also caught 5 passes for 65 yards. Harvin is a great fantasy WR to have on your team. With Harvin seeing more time at RB and with his kickoff prowess he is a great WR2 for fantasy players. Randy Moss again was quiet this week catching just 3 passes for 30 yards and 1 TD. So far it doesn't look like Moss has a good enough grasp of the Vikings offense and they rarely have taken shots on the downfield to him like they did with Sidney Rice last year.

Giants 41, Cowboys 35
Giants: Eli Manning threw 2 early INTs but settled down at ended the game with 306 yards and 4 TDs with a total of 3 INTs. Hakeem Nicks rebounded from his horrible game last week to score 2 TDs this week and have 108 yards on 9 receptions. Steve Smith also caught a TD and had 9 receptions and finished with 101 yards. 3rd WR Mario Manningham caught the last TD and ended the game with 40 yards on 3 catches. As of right now Nicks is one of the top fantasy WR this season and one of the best young WRs in the NFL today. For fantasy purposed Nicks is a WR1, followed by Smith who I view as a solid WR2. Manningham on the other hand is a great WR4 and mostly a bye week fill in. Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 24 times for 126 yards. While Brandon Jacobs also ran well running for 75 yards on 12 carries and 1 TD. Bradshaw is the lead back in this offense but with Jacobs seeing some more action of late especially at the goal line. Bradshaw may be a good sell high guy right now if you can get a good deal.

Cowboys: Pure and simple the Cowboys season is done. The final nail in the coffin was when Tony Romo broke his collarbone in the second quarter on a big hit. Romo will be out 6-10 weeks because of the injury. Jon Kitna came in to replace Romo and he threw 2 TDs and had 187 yards passing. Jason Witten led the receiving game with a nice game of 9 receptions, 95 yards and 1 TD. But the big winner this week was Dez Bryant. The rookie returned a punt for a TD from 93 yards out in the second quarter. Then in comeback time for the Cowboys Bryant hauled in 4 passes for 54 yards and 2 more TDs. Miles Austin was quiet again this week catching just 3 passes for 38 yards. While Roy Williams was held without a catch in this game. Felix Jones led in carries again with 9 this week. Jones rushed for 35 yards on those 9 carries and he had 3 catches for 27 yards.
