Week 6 Recap Late Games

Jets 24, Broncos 20
Jets: Shonn Greene (9-43) had a better yards per carry than LaDanian Tomlinson this week. But Tomlinson scored 2 late TDs to propel the Jets to victory. Tomlinson finished the game with 55 yards on 16 carries.Tomlinson so far this season has been one of the best value picks in this years draft. Look for Tomlinson to continue to dominate the touches in New York as long as he is healthy. Santonio Holmes had 4 receptions for 47 yards on the day. But Holmes biggest play came on a pass interference call that lead to the Jets game winning TD late in the fourth quarter. Braylon Edwards continues to score TDs. Edwards caught 4 balls for 46 yards and  scored his 4th TD of the season. Look for Holmes to become a bigger part of the offense after the Jets bye next week which might limit Edwards numbers.

Broncos: Kyle Orton had his lowest yardage total of the season this week with 209 passing yards. Orton did throw 1 TD though to make his day a okay one for his fantasy owners. Knowshon Moreno returned from injury this week and had 48 yards on 12 carries. Moreno was in the doghouse early in the game after fumbling his first carry of the game. Look for Moreno to be eased back into the lead back role in Denver. I wouldn't except RB1/RB2 numbers from him for maybe 1 or 2 more weeks. Jabar Gaffney led the Broncos in receiving with 6 catches for 81 yards. Gaffney has big a great PPR receiver the last few weeks and should be owned in all PPR leagues. Brandon Lloyd was slowed this week finally only hauling in 4 passes for 74 yards. Look for Lloyd to rebound next week against Oakland. Eddie Royal left with a groin injury so rookie Demaryius Thomas got on the field more and he caught just 1 pass that ended up being a 17 yard TD. Tim Tebow saw his first extended game action this week running the Broncos version of the wildcat called 'Wild Horses". Tebow rushed 6 times for 23 yards and 1 TD. Tebow's TD was from 5 yards out. With this development with Tebow it will be interesting to see how much it is use going forward. This could hurt Moreno's goal line work and take some short passing TDs away from Orton.

49ers 17, Raiders 9
49ers: Alex Smith come into this game on the hot seat and responded with a medicore game. He completed just 16 of his 33 attempts but he threw for 196 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Frank Gore rushed for a season high 149 yards on 25 carries. Gore who has averaged 6 catches a game through 5 weeks failed to caught 1 ball this week. Michael Crabtree continued his solid play with a 32 yard TD and finished the game with 57 yards on 4 receptions. Vernon Davis caught the other TD and he finished the day with 35 yards on 4 receptions. Since the firing of OC Jimmy Raye both Crabtree and Davis have put in solid games. Look for that to continue because of the 1-5 49ers have realized they need to get the ball into the hands of their top receivers to win ball games.

Raiders: Raiders fans were reminded why they benched Jason Campbell again this week. Campbell threw for just 83 yards and had 2 INTs. Michael Bush was the main back again with Darren McFadden nursing a hamstring injury. Bush rushed 20 times for a measly 47 yards and added 2 receptions for 12 yards. Tight end Zach Miller led the receiving game for the Raiders hauling in 2 passes for 48 yards. As of right now the only worthy fantasy starters for the Raiders are Zach Miller. Darren McFadden, and Michael Bush.

Vikings 24, Cowboys 21
Vikings: Brett Favre wasn't asked to do much in this game. He completed 14 of 19 passing attempts for just 118 yards and 1 TD. Adrian Peterson carried the load for the Vikings with 24 carries for 73 yards and 1 TD. Randy Moss had a quiet day catching 5 passes for 55 yards. Percy Harvin returned the opening kickoff in the second half for a TD and had 2 carries for 18 yards and 3 receptions for 21 yards. Harvin played out of the back field on some 3rd downs during the game. Look for the Vikes to use him there more meaning his rushing yardage could climb little adding onto his receiving and kick returning stats. Overall the Vikings offense didn't do much but look for them to have a good game against a injury plagues Packers D next week.

Cowboys: Tony Romo couldn't save the Cowboys season this week. Romo threw 2 costly INTs and ended the game with 220 yards and 3 TDs. Roy Williams caught 2 of those 3 passing TDs to continue his reemergence as a viable WR. Wiliams finished the game with just 3 catches for 28 yards. Miles Austin was shutdown some how by the Vikings only catching 2 passes for 12 yards. Dez Bryant caught the other TD and it was his only catch of the game. Felix Jones had 24 touches compared to Marion Barbers 13. Jones had just 32 yards on 14 carries but he grabbed 10 passes for 61 yards making his day a good one for his owners in PPR leagues. Barber rushed 10 times for 30 yards and had 3 catches for 15 yards. Look for Jones to continue to get the majority of carries in Dallas but Barber will stay involved in the short yardage game and goal line.
