Week 3 Recap SNF and MNF

Jets 31, Dolphins 23
Jets: Since his poor play in week 1 Mark Sanchez has thrown 6 TDs and 476 yards passing. Sanchez threw 3 more TDs this week and had 256 yards passing. If Sanchez can keep this up he would make a great QB2 going into the bye weeks. LaDanian Tomlinson again led the way for the Jets on the ground. Tomlinson rushed for 70 yards on 15 carries and had a 1 yard TD rush. He also had 3 catches for 18 yards. Shonn Greene continues to be the second back in the committee only getting 10 carries and rushing for 36 yards. Tomlinson has looked way more explosive than Greene and is the RB to own from the Jets. Tomlinson is a low end RB2 right now and makes a great RB3, while Greene is a RB3/RB4. Braylon Edwards was benched for the first quarter and when he finally got to play he had a 67 yard TD reception and finished the game with 82 yards total. Edwards is no more than a WR4 right now and when Santonio Holmes returns in week 5 he will be the top WR for the Jets. Dustin Keller is becoming a good TE1 for fantasy owners. Keller caught 2 TDs and had total of 98 yards receiving.

Dolphins: Brandon Marshall had his breakout game for the Dolphins this week. He hauled in 10 passes for 166 yards and 1 TD. There were fears that Marshall wouldn't be used the same as he was in Denver but this game shows that he still can put up those same type of numbers. Marshall is a solid WR1 for fantasy teams. Chad Henne had 363 yards passing and 2 TDS with 1 INT. Henne is no more than a QB2 right now and should only be used in bye weeks. The Dolphins running game has not shown the same effectiveness that it has in the past fews year so far this season. Ronnie Brown the lead back for the Dolphins had 11 carries for 54 yards and Ricky Williams had just 7 carries for 28 yards. Right now Brown is a RB3 until he starts to put up some numbers and Ricky Williams can be dropped from teams.

Bears 20, Packers 17
Bears: Jay Cutler did not play that great but it played well enough to beat the Packers. Cutler threw for 221 yards and 1 TD and 1 INT. He also was the Bears leading rusher with 31 yards. Cutler remains a solid QB1 and should bounce back with a good game next week against the Giants. Matt Forte since his great  week 1 performance has followed it up with 2 poor games. His TD week 2 did salvage his day and gave his owners some help. Tonight Forte rushed 11 times for 29 yards and only had 2 catches for 14 yards. The Packers D is tough but Forte wasn't used in the passing game like he was in the first two weeks this week. Matt Forte is a RB2 for fantasy owners and might be a sell high candidate. Johnny Knox was the top WR for the Bears tonight catching 4 balls for 97 yards. Knox is low end WR3 at this point of the season. Devin Aromashodu who was every experts top sleeper at WR was inactive for this game even though he was healthy. As I said last week Aromashodu has fallen on the depth chart and can be dropped in all leagues.

Packers: Aaron Rodgers rushed for his 2nd TD of the season tonight and finished the game with 316 yards passing and 1 passing TD and 1 INT. Rodgers is a stud QB and he continues to show it. With the Packers struggling to run the ball look for Rodgers to throw the ball even more. Brandon Jackson the hot waiver wire pick up when Ryan Grant went down only had 7 carries for 13 yards and caught 4 passes for 27 yards. John Kuhn rushed 6 times for 31 yards and had 2 receptions for 20. The Packers look to be going to a short passing game to replace its running game and that should bode well for Jerimichael Finley (9-115) and Donald Driver (9-61). Brandon Jackson should be no more than a RB4 for fantasy owners now and can be dropped if you have depth at the RB position. Greg Jennings caught the lone TD pass tonight and finished with just 2 catches for 18 yards.
