Week 1 Injuries

There were a few injuries to key players this opening weekend and for some the news isn't good.

Ryan Grant: Ryan Grant is by far the most important to get injured this past weekend. It looked bad on replays and now reports are saying that Grant sustained ligament damage in his ankle and a fracture near his knee and will be out for the rest of the season. If you had him on your team he is for sure a huge blow to your chances of winning a fantasy football championship this year. Brandon Jackson becomes an immediate waiver wire pickup and should be the first be first on every ones pick up list this week.

Matt Stafford: Matt Stafford was sacked hard just before half by Julius Peppers. Stafford did not return in the 2nd half and reports yesterday are that Stafford suffered a a sprain to the AC joint in his throwing shoulder. They have been conflicting reports on the amount of time Stafford will be sidelined. Initial reports said he could be out 4-8 weeks and now there is a report saying that he might just be out 1-2 weeks. Stay tuned for more info.

Kevin Kolb: Kevin Kolb sustained a concussion right before half time of the Eagles 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers. It was reported yesterday that Kolb failed his first concussion test and was sent home for the day. Eagles are putting up the front that Kolb may play this week but it is looking less likely that he will.
