Waiver Wire 8

There is not much out there this week by the way of waiver wire pickups.

Quarterbacks

Josh Freeman, Bucs: Freeman has done a solid job this season in leading the Bucs to a 5-2 record. Freeman has threw a TD and over 200 yards each game for the last 4 weeks. Freeman is not a guy thats going to light up the world but he has proved this year he can manage the games well. Freeman has just 3 INTs on the year to compare to his 8 passing TDs. He will also add in some decent rushing yards for a QB every week also. For teams desperate for a QB to play this week Freeman makes a good bye week fill in going up against the Falcons who were torched by the Bengals last time we saw them play.

Wide Receiver

Steve Breaston, Cardinals: Breaston may still be on your leagues waiver wire because of a early season injury that kept him out 3 games. Breaston returned this week and had a big game putting up 147 yards on 6 receptions. Breaston has played just 4 games this season but in those 4 games he has 22 receptions, 330 yards and 1 TD. 2 of his 4 games he went over 100 yards receiving. With Larry Fitzgerald stretching the field and being double teamed it leaves Breaston free to work the underneath routes and Derek Anderson seems to fair better going to Breaston than to Fitzgerald. Breaston should be viewed as a solid WR3 moving forward and should be owned in bigger leagues.

Tight End

Jacob Tamme, Colts: With Dallas Clark out the rest of the season Tamme has stepped up to replace Clark in the Colts offense. Tamme hauled in 6 passes for 64 yards and a TD on Monday night against the Texans. Tamme isn't as skilled of a receiver as Clark but he is still a solid pass catching TE. Tamme should be owned in all leagues and viewed as a TE1 throughout the rest of the year. For teams looking for a TE Tamme should be a top waiver wire pickup for them.
